Message	process for it's base stock (PAO and di-ester), and NEITHER do most of the other oil companies. most all synthetic manufacturers purchase their base stocks from big parent companies who already have that VERY expensive retrieval process in place. AMSOIL knows that it makes better business sense to NOT re-invent the horse. BTW, there are ONLY about 5 or 6 genuine parent oil companies left. AMSOIL, frugally buys it's base stock from mobil CHEMICAL, not mobil oil. AMSOIL's additives are also frugally purchased from several different companies, and this not un-like other oil companies, EITHER. the important point here is that AMSOIL has a unique high performance chemical formulation that makes it the best on the market. if you're going to damn AMSOIL with that statement, you're damning the other oil companies, too.
